In June 2008 Dr. Frimpong received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania.

In June 2016, Dr. Frimpong finished his Neurosurgery Residency at Virginia Tech Carilion Neurosurgery in Roanoke, Virginia. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredits this program.

In 2017 Dr. Frimpong completed a minimally invasive and complex spine surgery fellowship at Bassett Healthcare, affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.

Dr. Frimpong serves as the Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Medicine-Wichita, University of Kansas Medical. From November 2018 and July 2020, Dr. Frimpong assumed the role of Clinical Faculty in Neurological Surgery at the University of North Dakota Medical School.
